One of seven paintings in my series on planetary alchemy. Each planetary sphere is paired with medicinal plants which compliment its archetypal energy.

Sun plants: Angelica, Hypericum (St John’s Wort), Hawthorne

Solar plants are hot and dry, bring physical warmth and are nourishing to the body. They often boast radiant disc-shaped yellow flowers which follow the sun’s path across the sky, ie sunflowers, calendula. Hawthorne, its white flowers depicted in the painting, is a panacea for all heart related ailments.
