Heliotropolis is the last available original in my seven painting series on planetary alchemy (check out the print section to see the other planets).

According to ancient magick tradition, each painting was created on its corresponding day of the week, the Sun corresponding to Sunday. “Sun” also corresponds with the heart, and medicinal plants Hypericum (St John’s Wort), Hawthorne and Angelica create a warm energy of vibrancy within the body. The reverse of this piece is inscribed with the seal of archangel Michael and anointed with Hypericum I tinctured on the summer Solstice.
